Famous American singer Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester, United Kingdom, on May 15, 2025. This happened because of a serious case from February 2023, when he is accused of attacking a music producer in a London nightclub.
According to reports, Chris Brown hit the producer, Abe Diaw, on the head with a glass tequila bottle (Don Julio 1942) at Tape nightclub in London. After that, he allegedly continued to punch and kick him while he was on the ground. The producer was badly hurt with head cuts and leg injuries.
Because of this, the police charged Chris Brown with “grievous bodily harm with intent,” which is a very serious crime in the UK.
Abe Diaw also took Chris Brown to court in 2023, asking for £12 million (about 19 billion Rwandan Francs) in damages.
Chris Brown was in Manchester for his music tour “Breezy Bowl XX” when he was arrested at The Lowry Hotel in the early morning hours. He is now in police custody and is expected to appear in court on May 16, 2025.
This is not the first time Chris Brown has had legal problems. In 2009, he was convicted of assaulting singer Rihanna.
Now, the court will decide what happens next. If he is found guilty, Chris Brown could face serious punishment in the UK, including possible jail time.
