Norbert Regero, widely known as Digidigi, is proof that talent can shape both a career and a legacy. He has shown that the skills we often overlook—our voice, our expressions, and our creativity—can not only bring success but also inspire and uplift others. Many people don’t realize the hidden abilities they possess, but Regero’s journey serves as a reminder that discovering and developing our talents can open doors to endless possibilities.
Regero made his debut in 2003 in Iyumvire, a theater production on Radio Rwanda. Since 2015, he has been a key actor in Musekeweya, a popular radio drama. His role in the web series Papa Sava earned him the nickname “Digidigi” and catapulted him into the spotlight.
While many recognize him for his acting, Regero’s creativity extends beyond performance. He is a scriptwriter, director, and producer, having written, directed, and acted in Bolingo. His passion for the arts also led him to establish ISA Art Media Consult Ltd, a company specializing in arts consultancy, and he serves as the Managing Director of Golden Ring Jewelry Ltd. As a narrator, his voice has brought stories to life, including the audiobook Gahugu Gato.

Before stepping into acting, Regero was a gospel singer with the groups Joyful Singers and Sky Wind. His journey into theater was shaped by Aman Athar, the coach of Radio Rwanda’s theater productions, whom he credits for introducing him to acting.
Born on August 8, 1983, in Kigali, Nyarugenge, Regero is a 42-year-old husband and father of two—a son and a daughter. When asked why he pursued a career in cinema, he simply stated, “Passion led me here, and I’m grateful to be where I am today.”
During our interview, Regero revealed that Papa Sava remains his favorite project, as it brought him widespread recognition. However, the most challenging role he has ever played involved portraying a character involved in “uburaya” (prostitution). Overcoming this challenge required a shift in perspective:
“I reminded myself that the character was separate from me. It was a job, and I performed it as it was meant to be,” he explained.
When asked about the key to his success, he emphasized teamwork, innovation, uniqueness, and creativity:
“That’s how I got to where I am today.”
