Mutesi Jolly Denies Rumors of Romance with Tanzanian Billionaire

Miss Jolly Mutesi, who was crowned Miss Rwanda in 2016, has once again refuted ongoing rumors suggesting that she is romantically involved with Tanzanian businessman Saidi Lugumi.

In a post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) account, Mutesi dismissed the reports circulating about her alleged relationship with Lugumi, calling them mere gossip. She expressed her gratitude to those who wished her well, but urged people to refrain from making assumptions about her personal life.

She stated, “To all my well wishers , with all the speculations going on, thank you all for always giving me a benefit of a doubt and wishing me well, love is truly a beautiful thing and any day it comes my way I will always embrace it with no doubt and at my own terms.”

Mutesi further addressed the speculation, stating that while she would not mind having a wealthy partner who attracts attention, the rumors about her connection with Lugumi are not true. She warned those who seek to provoke her over these claims, mentioning that she knows how to handle such situations.

She also said: “And to you all quizilings and sadists that are behind the keyboards venting your frustrations and traumas on me for dating or not dating a millionaire or billionaire, this is the only debate i would ever want people to have about my man indeed. I truly know how to poke you where it hurts the most and it clearly shows .”

The rumors began circulating on Friday, January 10, 2025, after posts on social media platforms appeared to hint at a romantic connection between Mutesi and Lugumi, one of Tanzania’s wealthiest individuals. However, Mutesi quickly denied the allegations, explaining that both of their accounts had been hacked by cybercriminals and that they did not share any special relationship.

This is not the first time Mutesi has had to address rumors about her love life. Despite the frequent speculation, she has continued to focus on her personal and professional growth, emphasizing that love will come on its own terms.
