Each day brings new experiences that shape our identity and influence the way we think and create.
DUSENGE Clenie, known as MADEDERI in the Rwandan cinema industry, has embraced this truth and chosen to share her reflections—inviting the audience to learn from the experiences she’s gained through the people she has worked with.
Today at 12 PM, MADEDERI released her very first film project: a YouTube series titled INKOMOKO (“The Origin” in English), which she co-wrote with RUGABA Emmanuel. This milestone marks her official debut as both a writer and producer, making INKOMOKO not just a series, but a personal breakthrough.

In a brief interview, when asked about the inspiration behind the series, she shared:
“Everyone naturally holds unique thoughts. For me, this story was born from the experiences I’ve gained working with others and the advice they shared. It became essential for me to express my talent and offer what I carry within.”
When explaining the storyline and purpose behind INKOMOKO, MADEDERI said:
“This is a wide-ranging series composed of many episodes, each uncovering the roots of everyday challenges or solutions. It reflects diverse life experiences — especially within families — and prompts us to reflect on what it truly takes for people to live peacefully and uphold the values that build a stronger society.”

With INKOMOKO, MADEDERI not only steps into the spotlight as a storyteller, but also invites viewers to reflect deeply on the origins of life’s struggles and resolutions.
The series is now streaming on her YouTube channel called “Clenie DUSENGE.”
