Rwandan artist Kevin Kade has credited his cousin, Muyumbu Ntare Jimmy, as a major supporter in his music career, particularly highlighting Jimmy’s financial assistance in producing his latest song, “Nyanja.” Kevin revealed that Jimmy, who is passionate about music but does not aim to be his manager, has funded the production of several tracks, including “Nyanja.” Jimmy’s support has allowed Kevin to maintain creative control over his work and align his music with his personal vision.

Kevin described Jimmy as a humble and generous person with a big heart, noting that Jimmy has played a crucial role in his musical journey, including supporting songs like “Munda” and collaborations such as “Sikosa.” Although Jimmy is not a professional music manager, his love for music has led him to assist many artists, not just Kevin. The song “Nyanja” was created with the help of Jimmy at his home in the U.S., and Kevin expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received during his time in the country.

The video for “Nyanja” was shot in Arizona, featuring a female model named Afrellie, whom Kevin met at the Rwanda Convention USA. Afrellie agreed to collaborate on the video and traveled from Maine to Arizona for the shoot. Kevin reflected on the song’s creation and his decision to focus on solo projects this year, explaining that it was the right time for him to release music that represented his own artistic journey.
