Ousmane Dembélé leads Ballon d’Or race as PSG wins UEFA Super cup

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) capped off their historic 2024/25 season by winning the UEFA Super Cup, defeating Tottenham Hotspur 4–3 on penalties after a dramatic 2–2 draw in Udine. Ousmane Dembélé played a decisive role, further strengthening his case for the 2025 Ballon d’Or.

Tottenham led 2–0 through goals from Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, but PSG mounted a late comeback. Lee Kang-in scored in the 85th minute, and Gonçalo Ramos equalized in stoppage time from a Dembélé cross. In the penalty shootout, PSG converted all four attempts, with Dembélé calmly scoring his and Nuno Mendes sealing the win.
