Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy age and expectations, leading Portugal to a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Germany in the UEFA Nations League semi-final. The match, held at Munich’s Allianz Arena, saw Portugal overturn a second-half deficit to secure their spot in the final.

Germany struck first in the 48th minute through Florian Wirtz, who headed in a cross from Joshua Kimmich. But Portugal responded with determination. Substitute Francisco Conceição leveled the match in the 63rd minute with a clinical finish. Just five minutes later, Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner, sending Portuguese fans into celebration and adding another iconic moment to his legendary career.

At 39 years old, Ronaldo once again proved he’s far from done, becoming the oldest player to score in a UEFA Nations League semi-final. His leadership and drive remain key to Portugal’s success on the international stage.

Portugal will now face the winner of the Spain vs France semi-final, which is set to take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at MHPArena in Stuttgart. Spain are the defending champions, while France won the tournament in 2021, setting the stage for a heavyweight final on Sunday, June 8, back in Munich.

All eyes now turn to the second semi-final to see who will challenge Ronaldo and Portugal in the final chapter of this year’s UEFA Nations League.
